It's been a while since we did a tutorial, because we had been kind of busy with other non-baking, non-crafting stuff.
None the less, we are back with a tassle diy tutorial!
There's a video and a picture tutorial, because I found out that my hands and the tassle were not always in the picture.
I do hope you enjoy this quick tutorial and if you decide to make it, be sure to send us your picture.
The things you will be needing are;
- wool, in any color you want (I used acrylic wool)
- a card, I used a business card. You can however use whatever you want. Depending on the size of your tassle.
- scissors
You can watch the video first and then there are some pictures for a better angle.
Step 1: Be sure to have all your supplies ready. This is a fairly quick project and maybe once you've made one, you'll be making a whole bunch.
Step 2: Take the card and one of the yarn balls, and start wrapping it, making sure it's not too tight or too loose.
Step 3: When you've reached the preferred thickness you cut the yarn and it should look something like this.
Step 4: Take another piece of yarn and add it to the shorter end of the card (on the other side where you started wrapping it around the card - you know where there is a loose end)
Step 5: Tie a knot on top and make sure it's secure. Leave enough yarn left so you can wrap it around the almost ready tassle. One piece of the yarn is so you can tie it to your planner (or whatever you will use it for). Make sure that piece is long enough. You can always cut it if it's too long.
Step 6: Now cut the bottom half of the yarn (where the loose end was)
Step 6: Wrap the other yarn about an inch from the top around the tassle.
Step 7: Cut the frilly end so it's the same length.
And there you have it!
When I was finished, I added the tassles to my my planner. So it's now a page marker.
